The site is a tri level town house development project consisting of four town houses at various stages of construction. The inspector was concerned about the lack of guardrails and edge protection and issued prohibition notices wot relevant trades working on the site. On returning to the office the inspector checked and found other inspectors had issued similar notices on 7 January, 9 January and 13 February 1997 and therefore proceeded to take evidence for prosecutions. The photograph shows just one example of a breach that was observed on 27 March 1997. The defendant pleaded guilty. |
